Liz Iversen was born in the Philippines and grew up in South Dakota. Her writing has appeared most recently in Maine Magazine, Creative Nonfiction, Fourteen Hills, Passages North, and J Journal: New Writing on Justice. She is an Aspen Summer Words Emerging Writer Fellow, a Tin House Scholar and an Ashley Bryan Fellow with the Maine Writers and Publishers Alliance. She lives with her family in Portland, Maine, and is a copywriter for a radio and podcast advertising agency.
